Hey everyone, so I'm the new owner of 4552. This is my second D, ex made me sell 1767. Anyways Im starting to bring her back from sitting in a garage for who knows how long? Dot on the tires are from 02 and they still had the little nipples on them...... said maybe the just put them on? Then went through all the paper work. Yeah paid and installed in 02. So I was washing her off with just a garden hose, then opened the door to check for door leaks. Well the doors don't leak (yet) but there is water leaking just by the blower motor on the passenger floor. Quite a bit a water. I pulled the wipers off then the vent grill to see if i could find the hole? No way I can see down the vent hole. Any ideas?? Have a feeling I will have to pull the blower motor to get a better look. Thanks.

It sounds like it's time to perform a Bill Robertson mod to the evaporator drain. It's difficult for me to find pictures since I'm traveling but I'm sure someone can respond with what needs to be done.

Welcome back. Not to get too personal but its funny how your ex made you sell your old D, then one day you realized the car was less trouble than your
ex so you got another D. Good for you.

Why do most women dram of the stainless kitchen they see in magazines? But when you bring a stainless car home they get upset? Oh well I still got my D

Sounds like you have a stalker.
Good to have another Utah owner on here. We'll be taking over the forum before we know it.

Negative. There have been at least three show up on ksl recently, but none of them were me. I've seen one for sale in Springville, Provo, and Kaysville, but none here in Ogden. There is at least one other Ogden owner that I know of, but I haven't ever met up with him either.

I know the feeling. I was able to track my interior leak to that same issue yesterday, so I have to work on that this weekend.

You may be in store for some cursing. I had just that issue on my car years ago, and the problem was the adheasive (or lake thereof) gluing some plastic infill panels to the fiberglass underbody. With the evaporator box in place it is 95% impossible to get to to fix. The part that was separated was contained within the windshield drain. So while it wasn't plugged and overflowing into the fresh air intake, it was still pouring in.
