I'm looking for pictures of two toned interiors. I'm not looking for custom work. Mainly pieced together from original black and grey interior parts. If you all have any please post them here.

We'll be starting one here that's currently grey, being redone with black seats, light headliners, the dark carpet but will retain the grey dash and all vinyl. I'll post pictures when it's done if I remember. . .

Oh - and it's a black painted car.

Thats exactly the look i'm going for! and at a bargain price too. Think of how flexible you can be with the modifications.

I'm sold.

Man. Mike, that is a great looking interior you have. I really love the light gray carpet with black interior look.

I think one day I might change my carpeting to achieve that appearance.

Nice car for sure, Mike. I'm jealous of the seats... mine are all original and the leather has held up nicely with no tears, but it's definitely shrunk tight around the padding.

I was thinking the same thing. My black carpet is just about shot, so I may replace it with grey at some point.

When I first saw this thread, I thought you might have meant two-tone where the seats themselves have light and dark sections themselves (kind of like Dermot's duct tape ones!).

If we're talking two-tone contrast between seats, dash, console, carpet, floormats, drinkholders, etc., then I'll share a couple pics from my car. I took this when my spiffy new floormats arrived :)

That's the way mine came, grey and black. It's a shame you can't still buy these. I like them, but to this day I still can't seem to get them to be firmly secured down. Seems the clips under them that are supposed to grab the centre console aren't quite long enough. I've never spilled anything, but they're not very stable the way it is.

i assume you replaced the seatcovers with black ones, but did you dye or replace the rest of the vinyl with black?

Yes, the seat covers were new black DMCH covers, which I love. The rest of the interior was completely pulled out, wiped with alcohol and Superior Restoration Products Vinyl and Plastic Prep Solvent, and then dust coated with about 8 layers of SEM Landau Black vinyl Dye.

The dashboard was replaced with a DMCH reproduction dash that I also prepped and dyed with the SEM, so it would match flawlessly.

The Binnacle was replaced with a new one that i got from a guy in Orlando. Same thing, I took the binnacle, prepped it, and dyed it to match, so all the black panels are one distinct color.

The rear interior panels weren't worth removing, so we taped off the panels in the car, masked the rest of the carpet and such, and did the dye job with them in place. Since I built a speaker board, I didnt care about painting the speaker holes.
I REALLY like the light gray carpet, plus I had my carpet guy steam clean the whole car when the seats were out, and it looked flawless, so I kept it.

The best thing is that in almost 3 years, I have only had to do a minor touch up on an edge on the passenger side that gets a little rub here and there.

I wanted a black interior D, but I love the gray as well. This way I get both!

Thank you very much! It was actually one of the most fun projects to do surprisingly. My friend Mike and i worked looong nights doing this, but what memories now!
