You don't build a Delorean you repair/restore a Delorean. There are 5 DMC dealers in the US and a few independent shops that deal with DMCs. I good running car is in the 25k+ range, fixer uppers are from 3k-15k with maybe another 10k-20k in parts and labor.

You don't build a DeLorean... they are NOT kit cars. They are a manufactured car, just like a Chevrolet or a Toyota.

Hilarious. Reminds me of someone (supposed history on delorean's expert) who chimes in on, oh yeah my friend had a kit. Or... Is that a real one? ... yes, is there a fake one I should be aware of? Yeah they make a kit.

Had a friend even argue with me over this, then he googled delorean kit and sent me the link. *facepalm*
