Delorean sheep wool seat covers - dry cleaning?

Going thru my spare parts over the weekend I opened up a box that had been tucked away in a far off corner and found a pair of these delorean sheep wool covers for the seats. They appear to be structurally good, but the wool has been yellowed in spots. Has anyone successfully cleaned these things? They say to dry clean only.

I would follow the instructions an give it shot.

I would take them to a Dry Cleaner and ask them if they cleaned them could they remove the spots. Then if they said yes, cleaned them and could not remove the spots, you would not have to pay for the cleaning but you would still have the spots. At least you would know they can't be removed. You must be very careful with old, real, sheepskin covers. Anything too aggressive and you risk ruining them.

Obviously the easy answer is to dry clean them and give it a shot, but thought I'd see if anyone here had experience with them and if it was even worth it. I don't think I'd ever put them on my seats in the first place so they may just go back into dry storage.

Got any pics of them? I haven't seen (or been able to find pics of) the original covers before.

Here's a pic I just took. I didn't secure the cover down to the seat. There are elastic bands with clips in the back that would make it have a tighter fit.

Toby Peterson of DMC Northwest has loaned me his dark gray pair of sheepskin seat covers and before I put them on my seats I had them dry cleaned.
I have had several articles dry cleaned at a local privately owned dry cleaners and I called them to see if they would do two sheep skin seat covers. They said, “Yes, normally some businesses may charge up to $50 each for dry cleaning but they would charge me only $20 each.”
It sounded reasonable to me. I have good results from them before.
Mind you these seat covers had no visible stains but I still wanted them dry cleaned since Toby and Misty have been using these for years.
The dry cleaners had me remove the metal clips on the ends of the elastic cords inside the seat covers. The clips could possibly get caught in the little holes inside the tumble washer thing. I recommend you do this also before dropping them off.
They came back looking and smelling just fine and I still have them on my seats.
After the winter is over I’m going to give back the seat covers since they are just on loan and since I don’t like how my head is very near the ceiling and a couple of times I bumped my head into the ceiling when leaning forward to look around stuff.
By the way I'm 6'-0" (183 cm).

Thanks for the info. I'm 6' too, so its good to know what I may be dealing with if I put them on the car.
I'm thinking I'll dry clean them and see what happens. I like them more for the novelty of being an early '80's accessory for the Delorean. Because of that I'll see what I can do to keep them in good condition.

Thanks! Those are way different than I expected them to be. For some reason I thought they'd be shorter pile and grey with a DMC logo in the headrest.

Honestly, I have no clue why that's what I pictured based on reading the description from the factory bulletin.
