Relay Kits

Which relay kit should I buy? DMCH offers two kits, one with what look to be stock relays and the other with Bosch relays. The price for the latter is almost quadruple the price of the stock one. Is there that much of a difference?

I bought the upgraded ones fom Dave at DMC midwest. The original ones in my opinion are not worth the cheap price. Call Dave and he'll run you through the upgrades needed for the electrical box area. I also changed all my fuses at the same time.

If you have or can get Bosch relays they're worth the money. Unless you plan on making major changes to your electrical system the Bosch units are very reliable and long lasting. I still have some that were installed in my car back in the late 90' s and they are still working perfectly.

*UPDATE* I just ordered the Hervey black bosch updgrade set.

Good choice. His are functionally identical to the Houston premium (purple) ones for a slightly lower price. The low cost kit will need to be replaced - even Houston recommends you do it - after 3 years or so. Not true with the better quality relays, they are good for many more cycles and will last a long, long time.
