Cool VA Tag "IT IS" is this one of our members

I like the tag, that way when someone comes up and says "Is that a Delorean" you can say "look at the tag"

One of the guys at work sent me the picture, I don't know where he got it?

I caught it on Reddit earlier. The comments had me so mad I wanted to make an account just to flame them all out. "Why am I getting downvoted? You guys are the ones getting all worked up about a car that's still being produced!", plus all the usual ignorance. Good lookin car though :)

Yaaaaaay!! I've been spotted!!

My torsion bars need to be adjusted + it's cold outside, well, cold for VA. I want to wait until the weather gets up around 70ish before I make the adjustment. The struts are new ones from SpecialT auto, and I think they're great!

I like the plate. I'll eventually be getting some on my car, just haven't worked up the courage to step into the DMV yet

I don't really know much about redit. I'm glad you guys like the plate it took me a few weeks to come up with it. I just figured the BTTF thing was played out, and I'd seen all those other ones on that one site, so I couldn't copy those. Then it just hit me the first thing out of most peoples mouth when they see the car is "Is that a Delorean?" it's fun, I've gotten to the point where I can read peoples lips and when I drive by I see them jumping up and down when they see the plate! I'm embraced I was caught on a cold day with "shrinkage" so to speak on the doors, I can't wait for spring to roll around so I can fix it!

This is neat to see because I was there when the girl took that pic I was walking out from a near by restaurant and she was about to take the photo and I said, if you wait two more seconds the door will be up! She said, "oh no waaay, this is too awesome!"

If you look closely on the right side of the pic you can juuust see a sliver of my profile.

I've been thinking about "NO FLUX"
or "FLUX U". But like I said, the BTTF is played out I think.

It is played out. If we want people to start looking at our cars as something other than a movie prop, the BTTF reference vanity plates have to go.
Just to clarify I still LOVE BTTF.

Well I had a few "adult-beverages" one evening and was on the NYS-DMV website. When I realized "DA-BEARD" was unavailable, I started messing around. I was STUNNED when I realized "C-WORD" was available. So I ordered it (too good to pass up). I was further STUNNED when it actually showed up. I was expecting a phonecall and a refund from NYS.

Needless to say, it gets a LOT of attention! Much of it positive, some of it not, some of it just plain funny. The other day as I'm on my way to work I begin to sweat lightly when I see a NYS Trooper coming up on me fast. I began to sweat heavily when he changed lanes with me and began to ride me tight. I stopped sweating when I looked in my rear-view mirror (wearing my Ray Ban's so I wouldn't give it away) and saw the Trooper holding up his cell-phone to take a picture of the back of my Jeep! :biggrin: He even gave me a thumbs up as he passed me! :hysterical:

Hilarious :) In CA they make us fill out a "meaning of plate" field when we order one. What would you have put there for yours... "Short for Cherokee... duh"
