I recently discovered the transformer Swindler is a Delorean so I went to ebay to find one. I also found this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rare-Vintage-Animated-see-vid-12-Back-Future-Delorean-99-start-/180829948003?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2a1a4e0863#ht_564wt_1185

I bid on a Swindler set, hopefully I get it. It'd go well with my Transformers/Delorean collection.

I found that toy after a lot of searching around the web. Then I just ran across it again in box on Ebay.

It was sold shortly after the BTTF the animated series started up. I've never seen one and I've seen a lot of BTTF toys in my time. I wonder how rare it really is.

I have one of those, still in the box, too. I thought it was neat and I think I paid $50.00 for it a few years back. It's now part of my dwindling BTTF collection, along with an RC DeLorean.

They are from Universal Studios when the ride was around. I bought one there. The damn thing is super loud and annoying. NO idea where it is now. Probably trashed.

When I was a kid, my dad used to frequent the Swap Shop down here in So Fla. I used to call those type of toys "the poor people's edition", because they always seemed to get some popular character (for this example, the delorean) change some part colors, make it out of shitty plastic, give it EVERY annoying sound effect, (whirl whirl, beep beep, ringing telephone (?), um...machine gun blast...), have one of those spinning , rotating disks that make it hobble around like a maimed deer, and then package it with some clever name that is CLOSE to what you wanted, but noooot exactly....

Like in this case, instead of Back to the Future Time Machine, you'd probably get this thing named "Back through Time Machine". Unfortunately, I got a few of these type of toys when I was a kid. Can't knock dad, he thought he was being cool, so i always gave him props for trying.

What's funny about that video was they stuck every generic sound effect possible into that thing. i was waiting for it to tell me my door was ajar or beep like a microwave. Typical "Made In some Asian country" toy. Seriously, the crap they produce is astonishing. These types of things were popular with the crappy toy market for the beginning entrepreneur. I also had "Fire Breathing Giganto Dino"... poor Godzilla...

I had one. Got it from Universal Florida years and years ago and it was terrible. I vividly remember playing with it, but god damn it was annoying.

It's seriously like 5 times louder than it needs to be with no volume control. And it really doesn't go anywhere because it only has one wheel that moves it so it like goes back and forth and that's it. It also bothered me that the wheels don't fold in they go out.
