This seller has had quite a few Deloreans for sale on his page.

This is his current ad with pics of a car they sold with a car they are selling. The cars look a little rough to me.

Anyone notice that the car changes from automatic to manual several times in the photos?

Yea, the manual car was car that was sold a few weeks ago. The car they are selling in the ad is the automatic car at the bottom of the page. I think they have another automatic car in their inventory.

Here it is:

What is it with this picture? To show that he doesn't drive them in the rain?

Looks like the hood's been replaced - Flat hood on an '81?

It also looks like it has a black eye (front headlight blackened) in one of those pictues. And the seats go from great to a litle crackly (if that is a word).

Expansion of the fascia material. It isn't very well supported underneath. One fix is to install and aluminum bar inside the fascia.

Having said that, not all fascias warp.

also, DMCH is now manufacturing fiberglass reproduction front fascias (http://dmctalk.org/showthread.php?2087-New-fiberglass-fascia-bumper-cover)...

here is a photo of a finished & painted one--simply beautiful:

Yeah. Binnacles take a decade of research and design to develop. A fascia takes about 6 months.

Yep, James showed that to some of us when I was visited the DMCH for the fun event. He even mentioned how light it is compared to the original, which you can easily hold with one hand. Course, you still have to have some muscle but even with my girly muscles, it wasn't very difficult to do.

There's a lot to see in these photos. One thing to check for sure is the left quarter panel just below the rub strip (missing) where it meets the rear bumper. In photo #11 or so does the stainless panel look bent or is it the lighting? Looks dinged to me. Chris already notes the string of photos is more than one car. Fender antenna comes and goes, as do the eyebrows and busted headlight. Cannot tell where one car starts and the other begins. So you get comments on the whole pile, by approximate photo numbers:

Photos #1-2: Fender antenna busted or just retracted?
#6: Those eyebrows. Have never seen them so bad and in a matching pair like that. Fixable. Or get another fascia - see #14 and #32 for other reasons to consider that move. If on the same car, that is.
#14: large gap between fascia and fender/hood
#16: cracked panel above rear bulkhead, below rear window
#22: Console tray loose, carpet just behind pass. seat unhooked and is that a drooping headliner seen just above the passenger headrest? Hard to tell.
#27: Original coolant header tank. Fits with the 5,000mile claim as it has not burst - yet. Replace.
#32, just after the rain shot: The front bumper is drilled for plates. Not uncommon, but not everybody likes or needs that feature.
#39: Paint peeling off the windshield trim panel. Also, maybe the upper door outer seal, the one riveted behind the torsion bar, is not there?
#40: Now the eyebrows are gone but the headlights are pointing lots of different directions. But none are broken.
#40: Is the driver side drop glass not fitting at the upper rear or is it a funny reflection?

Nothing catastrophic, all of these things can be fixed - on whichever cars have them. The left quarter panel would be the expensive bit. Figuring out which photos go with the car that's being sold seems to be a reasonable first step.
