Hood Release

What a bummer... I just tried to open my hood, and the cable snapped at the release handle. Of course, my tools are in there. So... Can one just grab the cable with a set of pliers and yank to release the latch?

If there is cable to grab, yes get some pliers on it and pull. Good time to install a backup cable too.
