Greetings fellow enthusiasts who are Facebookers!

The Gilmore Car Museum in Michigan is opening a new display area. They can now show 300 cars at any one time. They have 380 in total, so several of them spend time in storage.

They are holding a vote until Tuesday 3/27 at 7:59am Eastern time. Five vehicles are in the running, including a 1982 DeLorean. As I write this, the DeLorean is behind a 1971 Olds Cutlass Convertible.

The winner will be on display for at least one month. Want to have another museum show a DeLorean, log into your facebook and follow the link below :)

Why not? I'd have had to vote for the Fiero if it were a genuine pace car, though, since it's not, it's 100% DeLorean. That, and 1982 is my second-favorite year.

So for those of you who are just tuning in on a Monday, we have until 7:59am Eastern time tomorrow to get a DeLorean on display at a Michigan car museum.

As I write this, the D is at 414, compared to 120 for the next vote ('71 Olds Cutlass 442 convertible)

If you haven't already, fire up your Facebook and go here:

AND THE WINNER IS... The DeLorean!

We would like to thank the 657 people the placed votes in our "What Car to Display" poll. Of the five cars currently in storage it will be the DeLorean that is put on display in the new Heritage Center for the month of April.

Here is the vote tally:

65% - Delorean
19% - Olds 442 Convertible
8% - Corvair
4% - VW Beetle
4% - Fiero Indy Pace Car

Excellent job, fellow enthusiasts!

Now to arrange a trip to go see it in April! :rollin:

I have a feeling it would have won even without anyone from DMCTalk.

This thread has 197 views, I'm assuming thats from registered AND unregistered users, perhaps someone correct me if I'm wrong? Well, 65% of 657 is ~427. Subtract the theoretical max of 197 DMCTalk assists, and your left with 230. 230 is still higher than the next highest voted car, at ~125 votes.

Looks like the DeLorean is just pure win. They should have never chosen that car for storage in the first place.

I am a regular visitor to the museum. Some of the employees at the museum know me. I was approached by the marketing director and told me to let everyone know about this poll. I called DMCMidwest and talked to Dave and told him about the poll. I'm happy the Delorean won the poll. It worked out great

P.S. For those that are attending the museum in October. I mentioned to one of the employees that a group of us will be attending and they might get the museum Delorean out for our viewing.

Thanks everyone for voting.
