I have a new car stereo on order (see http://dmctalk.org/showthread.php?2474-Interesting-new-stereo-head-unit-available-Parrot-Asteroid) and want to look at sprucing it up a bit with the round DMC medallion that goes on the A/T shifter (#111103).
It looks like both DMOCO and OEM are available. I understand that the DMOCO unit is 30.3 or so mm in diameter, made of stainless. The OEM one I know less about.
The dial on the stereo I would cover has a backlight going through it so the company logo in the center illuminates. I understand the OEM medalion is plastic. Would the DMC logo glow if gently rear lit? Can anyone tell me the diameter on it? I think the dial is 1.2" - but I need to either wait for my unit to arrive (it has not even shipped yet) or find one in a store to confirm the dimension needed - its going to be close.
Any info on what the part really is and how big it is would help.
If it works I'll eventually post a pic here, but look at the other thread for more info on what promises to be a pretty cool stereo...
