My buddy in Jacksonville had both of his Deloreans at a British car event last year. All cars entering the event were required to have a pan underneath (because it was on a golf course). Both of his Deloreans never leaked a drop of fluid or oil!:clown:

There's a difference between a pan and a 200 sq ft plastic sheet.

Maybe it's like that plastic sheet the bad guys had to stand on in Lethal Weapon before they were shot by the South African boss.

Why do they always go to a commercial when a DeLorean is up. This is the second time I've seen them do that. Instead they were all fixated on the 35 Chevy that someone built in their garage and 2 idiots managed to bid it up to $80K. I think I'm done watching this.

Those Fucking cocksuckers! They ALWAYS cut to commercial when anything like the DeLorean comes up. Not only do they cut to commercial just before the car comes on the block, but when they return from commercial they show a bunch of other showcase shit so that there is no way we can catch the tail end. I think the producers have a real problem with Deloreans, they do that EVERY SINGLE TIME. I believe they don't consider it "Barrett/Jackson Worthy"...even though everyone that sees one goes ape$%t.

I can tell you from all the time I've spent buying and selling cars, few clones will ever bring in close to what a real one will; regardless of if you make the cars better than the one they're a clone of. If anyone would like, I can provide a few examples.

There ARE exceptions to this, though. Such as cars where the originals are poorly-optioned and the reproductions are built better. One example is the '77 Trans Am. I knew of one column-shift with the 6.6. That was the ONLY one I'd ever seen that was set up thus. Now, that brought in less than a Firebird that was done-up to be a Trans Am with a 4-speed and with a newer suspension that was better than the factory Trans-Am upgrade.

Another example is the 1974 Dodge Monaco police car. If the car originally had a 318-2 bbl, then a civilian model that's converted to cop specs with a 440 will bring more money.

The point I was getting at is that, while it's true with most cars, there are special conditions where a replica will bring more money.
