Fuel injection question ***Was EFI***

Hi newbie here just bought a delorean love it . The car sat for a long time and we are just getting it to run . She will start and run for a minute then she cuts out . If you leave it alone for 10 to 15 minutes she will start again but only after you wait. If you pour a little gas in the injector she will start again ? Could this be the injectors ?? Any help would be appreciated . Thanks Jim

Hi Jim, welcome. I'm going to ask a moderator to move this to the "general" section of the forum since this area is for electronic fuel injection discussion (a mod made to replace the stock mechanical Bosch K-Jet system on our cars).

As far as your question is concerned.... "pour a little gas in the injector she will start again" ???? I don't understand. If you search the main boards you will find a ton of similar threads and great advice. Bottom line though, if it has sat for a long time, your entire fuel system from tank to injectors is probably full of crud and will need cleaning thoroughly. Rubber seals and o-rings are probably shot and getting a car to run in this state will be difficult if not impossible. Welcome to the art of resurrecting a Delorean!
