There are some parts on the engine that I want to sand down to a super smooth finish, polish, and use a clear coat spray.

What do you all recommend?

eastwood.com search for "diamond clear".

Will that work on nuts and bolts, etc. I too have been trying to clean rusty bits of this and that as I make repairs but I was hoping to protect the newly cleaned up pieces from rusting again. Eventually I will do a more massive tear down and have bits re-galvinized but until then...

Cheers.

I've been googling eastwood clear coat for bare metal. People are complaing about it, that it changes color to yellow, and flakes off.

Has anyone used this product for sometime now, and have good results??
