Painting Bare metal, engine parts. First Self-Etching Primer, then High Heat Primer

I was reading through different stuff on line.

I will be paiting some engine parts with Dupli-Color Spray Paint. Sanding them down to bare metal.

What you guys recommend I use. Self-Etching primer, then use some regular High Heat Engine Primer, then High Heat Engine Paint. Will finish it off with High Heat Engine Clear Coat.

OR

Self-Etching Primer, then High Heat Engine Paint, then High Heat Clear Coat??

I used high heat primer, paint then clear coat and I've had no adhesion issues.

Basically copied Opethmike.
