First post since the new forum. I've tried searching, but can't find the information. I know I've read it before, but do I need to have the wheels off the ground or on the ground when torquing the poly bushes where the stabilizer bar connects to the LCA?

Makes no difference with the poly stuff - it rotates in the bushing. Use lots of silicone grease.

Good to know. Thanks Dave. I know I only use the silicone grease on the inside of the bar bushings, but where exactly do I coat them for the LCAs? Slather them all over?

Where the bar goes through the bushing. Otherwise it will squeak.

While the bar is off, I may as well paint it. Would you guys suggest paint or powder coating? If paint, does it matter what kind? General purpose works fine or should I go with something else?

If you really want it to stay black, powdercoat it.

Does the silicone grease stay put? I was thinking wheel bearing grease may be better.

I used wheel bearing grease on my poly bushings recently. I had initially installed them dry, and hoo boy, they squeak like a mother!
