We had a rain storm in New York yesterday and I noticed that my drivers side rug was wet. I saw the previous service bulletin about where to put sealant and whatnot but was curious as to everyone's experience as to the most common culprits. Thanks in advance.

Check the grommet for the speedo cable is in place

If the car was driving in the rain, check the grommet already mentioned. If it was parked, check the bump-stops for the front trunk and then all around the windshield and the inner door seals.

The car was sitting - Dave you read my mind I was JUST going to respond noting that the car was sitting when it leaked. Thanks! I am going to check when I get out of work today. Hopefully I can find something glaring easily. Thanks for the help thus far guys will revert back with my success or lack thereof.

I did a search for the word water and this is what I came up with.
It just so happens I posted some pictures to the thread below.

I think I figured it out. The door weather stripping is all out of shape due to the door being misallghed. I sprayed the car down with a hose while my brother sat inside and noted where water was coming in. Originally I didn't think that was the location of the leak because the seats, dash and arm rests had no water on them and the weather stripping "looks" brand new.

My course of action is going to be replace the door seals, and then align the doors.....then hope for no water :).

Something I noticed when looking for the leaks was that my passenger side door sites slightly higher than the T panel but closes perfectly. The drivers door is misaligned but is flush with the T panel....probably not the right thread for this but any thoughts ?
