Hi again everyone.

I know there are lots of pictures of door innards out there, but I can't seem to find any that have the vapor barrier shown. I tried getting what I need off Martin's window regulator tutorial on youtube but since the video focuses on the motors I can't really see what I need to.

My car's PO removed the vapor barriers, and I absolutely can't figure out how to put them in. I know they're held in by glue, and I can see the old adhesive, but I can't wrap my head around the routing in regards to the door latches and all. It looks like I need to cut a hole in it for the interior door handle, but I would think it would already have a cutout for that.

Anyone have a picture or able to describe what I need accurately enough to help out? I'd love to get my passenger door back together so I can start on the driver's side.

If nobody else gets you the picture you need by late tonight I'll get you one.

Since I have my passenger door open, here are two photos of the vapor barrier. In the close up you can see the lock and the latch links coming through the plastic. Also there are holes where the bolts from the grab handle have to reach the bracket in behind.

Jeff:

THANK YOU!!!! I just felt so silly being unable to fix it without cutting holes in it.

It's like the barriers were designed by someone who didn't realize there was an interior door handle to attach. They fit perfectly without it.

Should have both doors finished by the middle of this week.
