For your car that might be the starter circuit service bulletin and not the ignition switch.

It's also easy enough to take off the steering column cover and test the switch with a voltmeter to know for sure.

What Jim said +1

DMCH has sourced a replacement Switch assembly which requires a some wire splicing to attach the factory harness connector. I saw it on the Vendor table at DCS10.

I actually bought the DMCH switch assembly awhile ago, but it did not fit correctly. They told me I had to modify it, file the sides down and press real hard to get it in. After all that, the damn thing came apart! Big waste of money on a brand new part!!! Now I still have the original one!

Well that's a bummer.

You may just have to get a used one from a salvage car. Rob Grady And Don Steger have quite a collection of Donor Cars. It's worth a shot anyway.

If your problem is with the key and the cylinder a locksmith can fix you up. Contact Jesser Keys.

I'm installing a start button where the dimmer was and accessories 1 and 2 switches on the console where the dummy switched are. I will post photos when I'm done.

Oh that's a cool idea. Will you be tying the start button to the key somehow too?

I'm actually removing the key and column lock assembly. I got a dead ignition switch (for the plug only) from DMC and I'm going to wire to the ignition plug.

So, if you get past the door locks and you know what buttons to press, you can drive my car away. I might put an additional hidden kill switch behind one of the driver knee-pads.

Yeah, I've got some R&D going on a hand-crank.
