LAMBDA "Chattering" - Fix?

Hello! I was in traffic yesterday and started to notice a "chattering" that was speed sensitive - like what you would expect from a speedo cable. After disconnecting the upper speedo cable, still heard chattering. After disconnecting the lower speedo cable, no chatter. I assume it is the LAMBDA box or the lower cable's connection to it. BTW - just had the lower cable replaced... Is there a fix for this? Do I try greasing the connection between the lower cable and the box? Oil the LAMBDA? Not sure what is appropriate in that area. The gears inside the lambda box are probably grinding together. I had this happen a few months back. I ended up removing the lambda counter and rebuilding it. Unfortunately I think I caught it too late, and I'm pretty sure my angle drive is toast. My speedometer barely works at all anymore.
