I think the President in Norfolk is slacking in his duties. Sir, this is a long-established club with a time-honored heritage and a large membership. Please remedy this oversight.

Sincerely,

Sam Hill (member #2.)

Fucker... ;) I've been a bit busy. And we're soooo spread out you know? Well this weekend hopefully we'll be able to meet up in Gloucester and cruise a bit.

If you do Gloucester this weekend, let me know, I may be in the Deltaville area this weekend, a short hop from Gloucester.

Gentlemen,
It is good to see my fellow brothers communicating once again. Please forgive my absence since our last meeting back in December. We just bought a house in March and that has all of my time taken at the moment, buying the house also knocked me out of going to DCS this year 8/. Once we finish moving (we have to wait for school to end) I once again extend my offer to host some meets. We have moved to Powhatan which is a little West of Richmond. I will keep you guys updated, hope to see yall soon.

Yeah I'm not gong either. Mostly because I'm cheap. But good hearing from you. Even IF Gloucester doesn't work out I think we're still gonna try and meet up this weekend.

I'm not going because I have Key West scheduling conflict. (I don't like crowds, lines and Mickey Freakin' Mouse either, but wish them all the success in the world, though. Just not my thing.) I'll definitely buy the DVDs if anyone makes them.

I got busy with my boat crap, but I finally got that settled.

I vote for Sunday Morning, if I have a vote.

The meet was a success! Thanks so much to David D. He was most generous to let us use this great location for a photo shoot!

The grounds of the Sweetwater Estate and the movie and car memoribilia were amazing! Totally worth it!

And now to drive to DC. (Ugh.)

It only took 6 and a half years for me to get going. Hope you have a shorter turn around than that.

I've had the car five years now. I thought when I got the engine completely rebuilt and upgraded that I'd be driving a whole lot more then I do, but I think everyone knows my tale on that :(

Nice to see fellow Virginians with their front license plates off. I had mine on for a while, hated how the big white rectangle looked, then took it off. Been waiting for the day when I get pulled over and have to convince the cop that it would be a crime to put the plate back ON the car.

The big black rectangle doesn't look too bad, though I wish they were stamped plates. My car came with the front bracket already screwed into the facia.

I don't have one on mine either and it was that way when I bought it from a fellow in Harrisonburg Virginia. I really don't want to drill any holes in that front end so I hope the local LE
will understand.

They should. I've been pulled over for it three times in the last 5 years. Each time I explain the situation to the officer and they're pretty understanding.

That's good to hear. I do have one of those stainless license brackets that screw into existing holes on the fascia for the rock guard so that I don't have to drill holes, but they don't need to know that. :)

So, any hope for some of those high quality pics that were taken with the expensive camera?

Just need your FB info. Although I think I copied them and included those in the post with all the pictures. I can't tell the difference between my iPhone and his camera.

So when is the next big meet?

Well, I dunno man. The next big thing on MY plate is on July 20th I'm taking 1258 up to Mechanicsville for a kid summer camp 80s theme weekend. Someone contacted me in the forums and I said I'd bring the car up for them.

Now if anyone wants to join me, I'm sure it'd be a huge surprise and be a lot of fun for us. If anyone is interested just PM me.

How's your baby doing man?

Mechanicsville is like 15 minutes from the old house, wish one of the D's was running so I could come with. Hopefully I will get both cars moved to the new house within the next month so I can start trying to get them back on the road and back out to meets. If anyone wants to come tinker on one let me know ;P

That's a Wednesday isn't it? I don't get home from work until 5:30. Car symptoms are 10k dollar engine that doesnt run and missing steering/suspension equipment on the front passenger side!
