I like the "What have you done to your delorean today" thread, and thought we could all use a place to share our 'todo' lists as well.

Here's mine!

Daily driver:
- Fix the A/C
- Flush coolant and make sure there's zero air in the system
- Change the oil
- Replace all 4 shocks
- Alignment / wheel balancing

Project car:
- Replace the transmission gasket with RTV to fix the ATF leak, and maybe install a helicoil while I'm in there
- Reinstall seat belts
- Drive her around!
- Fix the dash gauges, especially coolant
- Figure out why the cooling fans don't switch on unless the otterstat is jumpered

So, what do you have to do to your Delorean?

In the short term, I need to track down an annoying leak, drain and clean the fuel tank, and replace the fuel pump. Then I need to put the passenger carpet and seat back in the car. All of this should be done by the end of next week.

Longer term, I need to have the 2nd gear roll pin replaced, find and fix a possible exhaust leak, replace the steering rack boots, replace the lip seals on the transmission, replace the AC Pulley cam cover O-ring, and replace the passenger side valve cover gasket.

Spray louvres & bumpers, adjust passenger door, (doesn't close quite right), adjust torsion bars a little, refit the radio, reupholster the steering wheel; that should do for a while!

The full list? OK....

In the near future: (within the next 2 months probably)
Front wheel alignment (sliight pull right)
Check brake pads (pulls left when braking)
Replace water pump (slight leak)

Farther out:
replace headlights
replace fuel filter
poly bushings for a-arms
install third brake light
clutch bleeder hose
replace driver side mirror (does not move up/down)
performance brakes/braided lines
full size spare tire
battery cutoff switch
rear main seal leak

Cosmetic: (even farther out, listed in no specific order)
recover seats
repair small ding on hood
dye interior
fascia eyebrows/paint
replace a-pillar covers (warped)
align hood/fenders (slight gaps/stepping)
move antenna to left rear fender
repaint lower engine cover vents
replace steering wheel (momo)

For some reason, I read this as "refill the radio". I was briefly confused.

I hate running out of radio fluid!

Replacing fuel lines, pump, coolant lines, radiator, fans, etc in short term - obviously a much larger list of longer term stuff :)

However while removing my tank a couple of days ago to clean for the pump replacement I discovered a rust spot that had been brewing between the tank and frame - as my frame is otherwise perfect I wouldn't have noticed this if I weren't removing the tank for cleaning. Directly visible rust is on the (inside of) tank closing plate but in this shot you can see the epoxy on the frame itself has bubbled. So treating this is next priority before continuing further.

That is caused by a leak in one of the master cylinders. The brake fliuld eats the expoy and rusts the frame.

Cheers mate - I had not yet commence looking for the cause, but based on your advice just took a quick look and you were spot on! Check out this picky...

- hot air dam for fuel tank
- rear louver clip - realign
- replace spare tire
- stainless bumper letters
- extra ground for fuel pump/inertia switch
- refinish wheels
- repair cargo net
- new shocks
- 3rd brake lamp (DPNW)
- upgraded fuel pump/sender
- alignment
- paint seat tracks
- install subwoofer/amplifier (DMC-CA, JBL XD300)
- insulate fuel return lines at tank
- LCA outriggers
- repair cracked louver
- paint front and rear fascias
- door roof seals
- regrain stainless

-Fuel system should probably be re-done
-Clutch slave
-A few relays
-Door lock system needs a lot of work
-Rear fascia straightening (maybe get both fascias redone)
-Speedo/odometer don't work - looks like angle-drive
-Rubber trim around wheel arches and on trunk lid edges
-New wheel centre caps
-Remove cat and modify exhaust
-Stick shift adjustment
-LED interior/exterior upgrade, but I don't really care about this much
-Coolant hoses
-Refinish wheels
-Somehow make seat backs stay in position

That's all I can think of at the moment.

Ed Udings radiator should arrive tomorrow. This weekend I'm hoping to get it in.

The next project for me is redesigning the throttle body. I got a lot of questions about it at DCS and the truth was that I just didn't have enough time to make something more elegant and performance oriented so the 2x4 aluminum box tubing was what I had to settle for. No matter which direction the intake is on, the engine bay simply is not big enough for the throttle body to be attached to the intake. The box tubing was the quickest thing I could come up with in the short time. Surprisingly I dont feel like I'm loosing throttle response, however I still dont like how turbulent that airflow is with such hard 90's. :
