Stage I catalytic conv. gasket

Does anyone know of a cross-reference part for the Stage I exhaust header-to-cat gasket?

One of mine blew out--probably my fault for not going back and re-torquing them. However it does appear to be completely disintegrated. Everything else looks great.

I'd rather not drive it around all week waiting for a new set to arrive from Houston.

It will only take you 5 minutes to drop out the other gasket, the "good" one. Take it out and head to a couple muffler shops (the older the better in my experience) till you can find what you need.

Well I never visited a muffler shop, but I did visit some of the best auto parts stores in town (not your average retail shop). Looked up in their book for generic exhaust gaskets. There was no direct fit. The ID of the pipe is 2.5", your fixed with that size. Then the only two-bolt flange style they had which would line up had 4" spacing between bolts. This is slightly too large. I dont remember exactly but I believe the Stage I flange bolts are 3.5" OC. All I did was enlarge the bolt holes towards the center enough to pass the bolts through. Not exactly drop-in, but works.

I do plan on heading to town to try my luck at finding some this afternoon. Some solid dimensions would be appreciated.

Otherwise I'll have to phone order them from DMCH; can't find kit parts on the site. Again, just trying to avoid shipping...
