So I have engine and engine parts painted!!
I wanted to test them in the oven, if they can within stand 250F-300F for about 30min.
I put in the back and top of water pump, and the 2 water necks! I accidentally turned the knob to 450F, because I an used to putting it there for powder coating!

The 2 water necks, and back of water pump were painted with Acid etching primer, high heat aluminum paint, and high heat clear coat!! Paint blew up, started peeling!!
The top of the water pump was painted with POR-15 and then clear coated!! Nothing happened to the POR-15, just the clear coat turned a yellowish color!! I actually like that look, I'll leave that part like that!!
Under you can see that the part I taped off to be clear coated has turned yellow, while the POR-15 to the right is still its color!

The Y-Pipe as seen in the top picture, I put it in after! I put the temp. at 300F for 30min, still good, nothing happened!! That was painted with Acid Etching primer, High heat aluminum, and high heat Clear coat!!
