Hello folks. My turn signals now work off and on. Typically, they work fine early in a drive but then usually stop after approximately 10-15 minutes into a trip. I did find that if I turn on the hazards a few seconds before I need to signal a turn, the signals will then work fine. Any ideas on where this rookie should begin checking? I appreciate your input!

I had a similar issue where I would be parked with the hazards, then would start driving and when signaling at the next few lights, they would click on 3 or 4 times then die on me. A new relay under the dash fixed it. I am told they rarely fail, but worth a try. You don't want to get stuck without them at night!

Thanks guys! I'll try that and see if it does the trick.

When I first bought my car I had an intermittent problem with the turn signals. The only thing I had to do to fix them was to unplug the hazard switch and plug it back in. Worked perfectly since. Also worth a try.

Is it possible to inadvertantly connect the turn signal wiring to the delay module on the wipers? The part where he mentions it works for a while, but then doesn't I thought could be confused with how odd the delay sequence is for the wipers. If there was a chance the connectors are universal to more than out receptacle, maybe they got crossed up?

You checked the blinker fluid though, right?

j/k :)

Do the Hazards always work?

When the turn signals fail do they not come on?
(We need a check your grounds and connections smilie.)

Or, do they come on and stay on?
(Flasher relay makes sense, with Hazards using twice the bulb load to heat it up....)
