So, I was putting a fresh sticker on my headlight switch today (My graphic file and comments uploaded here under resources).
I should have stopped there.
I thought, while I'm sitting here, I'll swap the bulb for an led that I had ordered several years ago from a thread here.
I put it in and pressed the switch and it sparked. Apparently, the contacts of this particular led bulb need to be altered because they make contact with both sides or something. Whoops.
Anyway, panicked, I put the old bulb back in, but nothing.
And tonight, whilst driving, I noticed I had NO dash OR console lights at all.
:-O
Not sure if there is a fuse just for those. I looked at #5 and it was fine.
Your thoughts are appreciated!

If you have LEDs in your dash, make sure your rheostat (light dimming switch) is all the way to the right. LEDs , with the car's stock setup, will either be "on" or "off" and for them to be on, the rheostat has to be ALL the way to the right.
For your A/C / Center Console lights, check fuse #11.

No LEDs in the dash. Rheostat has been bypassed, since my illumination was poor at best, without trying to dim them! :)
Now it's REALLY 'dim'. (Blackout!)
-O.
Fuse #5 is for the dash instruments and indicators, fuse #8 is for the instrument illumination lamps.
A little odd to take out the panel lights (#11) at the same time tho...

Number 8 fuse was blown! It fixed both dash and center panel lights.
(I've now added notes to my fuse cheat sheet.)
What a comfort to be able to come here and throw out a question. Thanks, guys.
And thank you for pointing me in the right direction, Ron!

See, this lil' situation right here justifies the purchase of the huge "entire car wiring diagram in color." We all get so used to referencing the glovebox manual/various sources on the internet, and to the best of my knowledge, no one has ever pointed out fuse #8 powers both the dash and the A/C console. But you'd definitely see that on the wiring diagram....
Now I want to order one of those color diagrams.

Just imagine what a wire diagram of Oliver's BTTF car would look like.

the lights in my console are out. The binacle is fine, radio works, and the lights in harzard and light switch and the lights for the rear defog and door ajar work also, just the illunination of the 3 rotary knobs do not work. So based on this thread I went to look at fuses 8 and 11, but that is electric windows etc in my case, but I tought all fuses are fine. I changed to LED's a long time ago.
Any suggestions anyone?

johnThey are fed by fuse #11.
Check your AC Panel Illumination Relay (Top Row, Center; Can use Starter Relay to the left of it for a test), and, AC Illumination Resistor (Top Row, Leftmost, Blue; Check for very high resistance/open)

There is a Mod where you pull the relay and stick a jumper in so the lights only come on when you turn on the park or low beams. Otherwise the lights are on all the time.
