Delorean "Yellow Glue"

I have hood im going to be fixing this winter and I'm looking to remove the fiberglass support "X" from the hood. The glue holding in the "X" panel is 30 years old and should release from the stainless steel with the right release agent. Anyone know what type of glue they used?

Anyone take a hood apart? If they put it together then I can take apart right :-)

Wow that is a daring task. I never heard of anyone performing this type or refurbishment. Be very careful.
