Hi everyone,
I'm trying to fix my door lock light. With key on, I have 12 volts to the Green/white wire on the bulb holder. I don't have continuity between the brown/pink wire on the holder and the brown/pink pair of wires at the inertia switch. If I use a test light between them I can make the ground and the light comes on. Bulb is good.
Looks like a broken brown/pink wire somewhere.... is there a junction or another connector that it goes through before the inertia switch?
Andy
Another connector between that lamp and the Inertia Switch?
It doesn't look like it. Have a look at the color version of the wiring diagram found here in case you have not seen it already:

The lamp in question is called the Door Lock Telltale. Location reference is H8, component #243.
This answer assumes that the diagram shows all of the connectors and that a PO did not hack the factory wiring. Happy hunting.

Yeah that's the diagram I'm using. Thing is, it used to work. There is only about 4 inches of wire coming off the bulb holder before it goes into the big black taped loom. Then I don't see it again until right at the inertia switch. Hard to believe the wire would be damaged inside the loom.
I have continuity from the door look module to the inertia switch. The inertia switch works and the door locks work (lockzilla). No continuity from bulb holder to inertia switch. Very odd.

Found the problem. The actual bulb holder was where the trouble was. I had spotty continuity all over where the brown/pink wire is crimped and soldered to the holder. It wasn't loose but somehow not making good contact. A little sloppy use of my soldering iron and I'm back in business with a working bulb. Hope that helps someone else some day.
