Im trying to discover what this lone yellow/white wire is for and where it goes after the roof connections
here it is on the door, there is another end that goes near the power window motor and stops there as well.

However after it goes to the large connection in the roof box, it must change color or disappear. which one of these is is on the B pillar? Is there access to it in the fuse box area?

The yellow/white wire Is ONLY in each door harness. The Roof Harness connectors do not have a mating wire on the Main harness side. No one knows what the wire was originally intended for. I would like to know myself where the other end terminates in the door. The single pin plug has two wires coming out of it. One comes from the roof connector. I'd like to know where the other end goes after it wraps back into the harness.

Like I said there is another unconnected plug near the window motor. well damn, if it just stops at the roof box that doesn't help me. i need an extra wire to go to from the fuse box to the door, Ill have to used the green/white mirror defrost wire then.

Okay, Thanks.
What do you need the wire for?

Adding a driver side door popper, you can see the solenoid in the first picture.
Maybe I'm thinking of the wrong plug, but isn't that for the never-implemented heated mirror? There was a similar thread here ( dmctalk.org/showthread.php?4224-What-Is-This-Plug) about it, but I can't tell if it's the same thing. Mine was down near the window motor and (obviously) disconnected.

The green/white wire was for the mirror heater. I dont recall what the yellow wire's intended function was ever for.
Alternatively in the instructions for the DPNW door launchers, Toby describes cutting the ground wire for the lock solenoid and using that as your trigger. The solenoid (and the new launcher) ground to the door chassis. Then using a multimeter, you figure out which black wire came from that door, then re-ground the rest. Looks like your on the right track choosing the heater circuit.
Or if your really crazy you can add 6 16-ga wires and 1 12-ga wire to each of your door for no good reason. Note-its not easy. Only just this year (I installed all of these in 2003) did I actually find use for one, a door launcher, which could have easily been done with the above mentioned mod.

Ok so nix the idea of re purposing the green/white wire as that also powers the mirrors.
Ill have to use the ground for the lock solenoid then.

Im hating door poppers, Im using one of the black grounds as a power for the solenoid now, Ill have to get the door more ground too. Why the hell does the driver door harness go down the passenger side and the passenger side door harness go down the driver side? and the plugs can not be swapped at the roof box to fix that?, MADNESS!:angry0:
I can confirm that the White/yellow wire does terminate at its roof box connector. If my headliners were out it wouldn't be that hard to put it into use after all, I may end up doing that.

There's your problem... This is a job for an actuator.

a small actuator is not strong enough to pull my door handle, I could take the whole system apart and mess with it for a few days to make it easier to move but my latches works so well otherwise i don't dare mess with it.
