Stainless Frame Info

I recently purchased my first Delorean, and while doing endless hours of research looking for what I though should be the easy parts to find, like brake pads and tie rod ends... I came across a website that had sold stainless steel frames at some point in the past. The company that sold the frames is apparently out of business, but I was wondering if anyone had any other information about these? does anyone still make them? does anyone have one? anyway, thanks for any info you've got!

At present there are none on the market. Pearse, the vendor I think you are talking about, stopped making them.

There are two options in the pipeline. There is a guy in Ireland who has made a couple and was entering into negotiations with DMCH to ship them across.

Almost simultaneously, according to Steve Wynne, DMCH obtained the drawings and production rights to the Pearse design.

So, hopefully, we will see something on this before the end of 2012, but they won't be cheap - $10k rings a bell from before.

DPI has talked about producing a stainless frame. No pictures yet. Maybe they will chime in.
