On page A:08:03 of the Workshop Manual under General Data, they show where the labels on the car go. Label #14 is numbered on the drawing but is not shown on the label list. It looks like it is on the LFF, possibly on the inside maybe, but not sure (driver footwell?). Anyone have some old details on this, like what the label was going to show?

That is weird. On page A:08:02 it shows #14 as the windshield washer fluid. Then on A:08:03 it shows it as "Not yet applicable" and the windshield washer fluid is #15. Then on A:08:04, #15 is the Catalyst label on the door. Then again, on A:08:05, the Catalyst door label is #16.

I bet label #14 is the "workshop manual accuracy guaranteed" sticker that made it on exactly no cars. :)

Could it have something to do with the early cars having the last three of the VIN behind the fender? The ones tha were affixed to the fiberglass tub. I'm not real sure when they stopped putting those on but it seems like something that may have been overlooked. Don't have my workshop manual handy at the moment either.

That's an idea Chris. I hadn't heard of that before. The only other thing I was thinking was if it was trying to show it in the driver's footwell, that it might have been some label for the inertia switch perhaps or trunk release maybe.

Jon... I wonder if each span of two pages has it's own numbering? When I saw the one on the car diagram showing 14 on the LFF, but across the page on the left of the open binder it even looks like there was space on the page to have 14 in between 13 and 15, and that was what made me think it got removed. Erased... from existence.
