When driving along with the fan/blower on, the sound of it is (probably) normal. But when I turn a corner, turning left, the noise of the blower gets noticeable louder.

Is this normal? Why does it do so? It's an electric motor isn't it, and we don't have power steering putting a load on the engine and changing the voltage slightly.

Not a big problem, just something I have been wondering.

Need a better problem definition. Pick one:

a. The fan gets louder and blows more air as it does so, as if you've turned up the power to it, but it still sounds like a car fan should sound.
b. The fan makes a thub-thub or squealing noise during the turn without changing its speed or moving more air.
c. Something else?

Yeah, sorry, I was struggling to explain it well.

It sounds like it speeds up as the steering wheel turns.

I have never felt whether the airflow increases or not.

Maybe a better question would be " why does my fan blower sound like it's speeding up when I turn the steering wheel?"

My Pontiac did this - same blower motor. The blower motor is bad. It would get noisy when turning one direction but not the other. I bet there's a bad bushing/bearing.

I could maybe see a connection in a newer car if the PS pump was on the same circuit as the blower, but in a DeLorean there is obviously no PS pump.

So what is the connection between turning left in a purely mechanical steering system, and the fan blower getting noisier?

Your evaporator drain is clogged. When you go around a corner water sloshes onto the fan blade.
Or not.

Centrifugal force. When you turn the weight of the fan cage pushes more on the bearing. OR the water thing, but if that happens you'll hear it. And probably get wet.
