Hi all, I bought this when i was using the D daily to make it more practical. But I never got around to putting it on so I have the entire kit new and unused with everything minus the original box. I can take pics of everything for anyone who's seriously interested.
Asking $200 with shipping.

Pictures?
Also, DMC sells them for $204.75. What is the lowest price you will take for it?

I'll take some pics later. Maybe $180. W/shipping if you're serious.

Here are some pics. As I said it is NOS from PJ Gradys and never used. The only thing missing is the outer box because it is too big to fit in the DeLo's trunk so I threw it out there. All mounting hardware and instructions are there and unused.

Unless the $$ is more important, I'd sure keep it. There are *very* few left, and the original supplier is long gone. I can't see them being reproduced, either, considering that it took 30 years to sell down the stock.

I figured I'd throw it out there just for the hell of it. If someone comes along I may part with it being I don't plan on using it right now. If this thread dosn't go anywhere I'll most likely just keep it.

The rack is no longer available. I have decided to keep it. Thanks for the interest and I apologize to the few of you that mentioned a serious interest in it.

I ordered one to Ed in Europe and he said to me they are less than 30 in stock.
I think its a part of the car history and its good to have one, even if you don't decide to mount it on the car.

It's still on my garage floor. Everytime I look at it I debate on wether or not I'm actually going to use it. Maybe I'll be open to offers again if someone really wants it.

Mine served as the basis for a bicycle rack. Now I have my unpainted titanium road bike mounted on my unpainted stainless steel DeLorean. I tell people that I couldn't afford to have either one painted

Can not be that hard to make yourself?
I have been looking to buy one as well, but in all those years I would not have used it once. I have a plastic bag where the spare fits into in case I need to put a wet and dirty tire on the seat next to me and a chain with a lock in case I need to lock it to a tree to come pick up the tire later.
It is like the DMOCO shifters plate. I never used it and probably never will, but because t is unavailable, just decided to keep it.

Is your assent really noteworthy enough to signify it by making a post with "+1"?

Back to talking about luggage racks...
On a whim I managed to buy one at DCS this year for $50. Someone had moved to Europe and was unable to bring their car with so sold it. Luggage rack was leftover, and I got it. That certainly put to rest my nerve about wanting to get one before they are all out, even if I never put it on the car. I've just seen too many creative uses for it to not have it just in case. Perhaps I'll put it on for DCS '14 and have a large container strapped to it filled with new back-lit instrument clusters to sell at the show...

I keep saying I'm going to put it on and then I remind myself that it needs powdercoating first, and then I put it back.

Maybe you will decide to sell it once it won't be available anymore and most people will look for them?

The first time I saw one mounted on a car was at the DMA spring social 2011. I was actually surprised how nice it looked and how useful it looked for everyday mundane tasks. From mid July to early November 2011 I was using the D everyday and it seemed like I'd be using it daily for a while. So I bought the rack from PJ Grady in early October. But as things would have it. I got hired by Shell/Motiva in November to start working for them beginning the first of the year. My grandfather, whom I was working for at the time decided he wanted me to get a more reliable car so together he helped get into a new Altima. From that point on the rack just sat on my garage floor. The other thing was, I was unsure of how it mounted when I first got it. I didn't know you had to drill the flanges on the quarter panels. So that sort of deterred me from mounting it. It's sort of a waste but at the same time being as rare as it is I didn't want to just blow it off either.
Hard to believe I put this much thought into a luggage rack.

Original owner had a rack but he wanted 600.00 for it. No way. So my car has all the brackets and no rack.
Does make a nice place to mount a CB.

I don't think he will be able to sale it without the bracket to hold it on the car now?
Especially at that price range, when you can have it NOS for around $200
