Hi all,
I am putting my engine together, as you probably seen form my other posts. I am getting all the new partsm and freshly painted parts together!
I have John Hervey's O-rings on a sheet. There are 3 that write "Three Idle Speed Screws". I am pretty sure they are for the 3 screws on the Butterfly Assembly? What about the O-ring right next to those 3, it writes "Idle Speed tube into air flow" what is that exactly???

Also known as the "pipe of agony" because it can be tricky getting it reinstalled at the correct angle to get everything lined up witht he hose coming off the idle speed motor.

I already have an O-ring for the brass tube, it writes on the paper, "Cold Start Tube To Intake"

Wrong one. That one goes in the middle of the intake manifold. The brass tube o-ring goes on the rear of the air meter housing like previously stated.

There are two brass tubes...
One goes to the center of the intake manifold and reaches up through and holds the cold start injector on the other end.
Part number 9 here is the "Cold start tube to intake" o-ring. http://store.delorean.com/c-336-2-2-1-fuel-emissions.aspx
The other comes from behind the intake manifold - it comes out of the fuel meter housing and connects to a hose that comes off the back side of the idle speed motor.
Part 21 here is the pipe of agony AKA the auxiliary air pipe, http://store.delorean.com/c-338-2-5-0-motorecumicroswitch.aspx
The o-ring for it is shown as part 8 here - http://store.delorean.com/c-334-1-4-1-air-induction-system.aspx

Thank you!!!
"Cold start tube to intake" o-ring I definitely know where that goes!!
I'll have to look around the intake manifold and others to understand where it goes.

By request.
Here are the pictures of the Pipe of Agony, officially called the Auxiliary Air Pipe, that is connected between the ISM and the mixture unit.
The O-ring goes into the recess in the mixture unit and is held in place by a brass cup

And the CSV pipe

Hope this helps

The Cold Start pipe and O-ring I got, make sense! The other was throwing me off, and have a good reason!! I don't have a pipe like that!!! I have a small one built in the unit, with a long rubber hose that connects to it!
Thank you for all the info and pictures, I appreciate it!!!

Another thing, I was looking at http://store.delorean.com/c-336-2-2-1-fuel-emissions.aspx Part 8 Sealing Washer. I bought a new S/S Bolt, other than the website, do part stores carry those Sealing Washers??
