Goung to install my new outer door seals tonight.

Anybody have any advice.

I'm going to use the 3M 8008 as recomended. How much should I use and what pattern do I apply it in? Zig zag or straight line or spreadevenly accross the surface? Do I applty to both surfaces?
I want it to stay but would like to be able to remove it later for maintenance/repairs of roof section, etc.

How do I locate the poistion? Any point of reference or how much it should stand above the opening?

Cheers
Steve

I did my outer door seals a month or so ago, using the 3M adhesive you mentioned. My biggest problem was getting the seal positioned so that it ran level with the between panel gap. Once the doors were closed the trim would sit high and low in different places. I ended up removing and trying to reposition some of the worst bits.

Part of the problem I ran into was that I may have needed to let the adhesive get more tacky so it wouldn't move as much. I've played with the idea of pulling it all off again, getting new seal an using something like the 3M double sided adhesive trim tapes to allow it to be accurately positioned.
