Ok is it normally open, and the vacuum pulls it shut? My AC seems charged, but the air is not cold, feels like the heater is on with the air.

Thanks,
Craig

Yes, but only when Max A/C is selected. What makes you say it "seems" charged?

Fixed it... the vacuum line was kinked under the dash, now it blows ice cold. When on MAX it pulls the valve shut now... Before the hot water and AC were fighting...the heat was winning...;)

** The Charging Pressure was in the right fully charged zone...

Even with hot water flowing through the heater, it should not be noticeably "fighting" the AC. If it is I would suspect your hot/cold damper isnt fully moved to cold or you have a typical hot air leak in the rear of the AC box.

Keep an eye on it for a little while!!!! I recently had a similar problem with mine. It had been stuck in the open position for the better part of 9 years or so (7 of which it was sitting). When I re-attached the vacum line to the interior compartmemnt recirculator door, the heater control valve started working again. Unfortunately the packing in the valve body had long since dried out from not moving and it was only a matter of time before it started leaking. It worked for three months before I had to change it. Luckily I caught it at home while doing a PM service and it was a slow leak. It hadn't completley blown out yet.
