Hi all,

My original plug http://store.delorean.com/p-6399-plug-removeable.aspx was bad. Can't use it, its in pieces!

John Hervey was telling me he uses some silicone plugs from pharmacy department at local shopping area. He sent me an alan key tool to use for the adjustment. He told me I can use those silicone plugs in there.

Anyone use anything like that? If so, which exact ones should I buy?

Thank you!

I use a rubber stopper that I picked up at Lowes. I just brought the removable plug with me and found something that was more or less the same size, with limited compression in the material. Worked great, looks better than the plug, and seals far better too. Still removable if I want to as well.

Thanks for the info! There is no Lowes close by me. Will have to see what to do.

In Queens any old neighborhood hardware store should have something. An Ace or True Value might even be a better choice than Lowes.

You can pretty much use whatever you want as long as it seals. I've used golf tees, rubber stoppers, an M6 bolt wrapped in electrical tape.... anything will work.

I lost my original one driving because I forgot to put it back properly after an adjustment. I used a small rubber stop with a little silicone and its working fine for the past 2 years. The only down side is when I have to remove it I"ll have to re-silicone it in order to make the seal tight. But otherwise it works just fine.
