Does anyone know or have a good suggestion of a glue to use on the black plastic that surrounds the instrument cluster. Just had my binnacle recovered and wanted to use the right adhesive

I used GEL super glue, then 2 pieces of wood and clamps to hold it till it set. Not sure if that was the BEST solution but it worked and is still holding 2 years later. Just not sure if it will be a bear to get off when I need it to.:hmm:

There is a small gap between the plastic and the housing here and there. It bothers me. (picture) I have been thinking to use some black silicone to seal that off. Using a silicone packed in a fine tube with a slim tip, it can be done with care. Anyone ever did this? Sorry to go off topic.

I ended up using mercedes Benz soft top adhesive cement just cause that stuff won't dry immediately but once it does it stays and will hold any think together and won't let go. I did however add a different type of super glue, can't remember the name of it to do the exact same thing you were asking about. It turned out really good, a little excess got on the black part but I would be the only who would tell unless you were looking for it
