As far as I know it's original.

My Lambda light turned last fall when i hit 30k miles. Car seems to run fine, but the question is; could it run better?!

Thoughts?

I did mine last year and it was a surprising PITA to get off. Access is OK, but it really gets stuck on there.

No change in operation after I did it, though.

EDIT; Of course, you'll void the warranty if you don't keep to the official maintenance schedule.

Just unplug the counter. :dunno:

Counter is part of the speedo cable, so unless you are OK not knowing how fast you are going..........

No not the cable, unplug the wire. Isn't there a wire that comes of the counter that powers the light?

Yep. When my lambda light came on, I just unplugged the wire. Doesn't affect the speedo.

You should replace the O2 sensor, reset the Lambda counter, adjust the valves, and do a tune-up. If it is running fine you don't have to do it immediately. You may not notice any improvement but if you keep track of your gas mileage, it should improve. The O2 sensor can be difficult to remove. It can get really stuck, heat from a torch makes it easier to remove.
