I'm working on an MP3 AUX input for the Craig and ASI radio.

For the Craig everything is available but I can't find the schematic
for the ASI radio.

Anybody out there who can help ?
Thanks

BTW - changing the frequency steps to european standard is possible.
If interested - just send me a PM.

I have an ASI Service Manual. It has all of the schematics. The print is very small, it will not scan, fax or e-mail well, I would have to mail you a copy.

It might be possible to use the Macro function of the camera to take a picture of the schematics. I've often found the Macro setting on a good camera is better than any scanner.

Alternatively, one of those older Xerox copiers may be able to provide an exact duplicate, especially if you enlarge the diagram to fill the page via its zoom function.

Hi Elvis,

Sorry, no ASI schematic here, but if you have a good copy of the Craig schematic, would you mind posting it? I have some copy that was floating around ages ago, but the small numbers are really hard to read.

I recently dredged up my busted (typical bad display cable and broken cassette mechanism) Craig unit for the same reason, re-wired the display, tapped in an iPod interface, fired it up and... the display and iPod worked great! But apparently there was more wrong with that radio than just a bad display cable and a bad cassette mechanism (very flakey right channel).

It might go under the soldering iron again if I had a better schematic.

Thanks!
Travis

Travis, send me a PM with your email address I'll send you the PDF.

Funny thing - while playing inside the ASI I found bad solder joints on a hybrid modul
that would probably cause exactly what you're seeing on your Craig.

So if you guys have trouble with your ASI radio - I might know where to start looking.

Thanks to DaveS for the quick delivery of the scans :thumbup2:
