I like how they list it as a Dodge Delorean (haha). Transmission is slipping a bit on this one, so a rebuild or a replacement transmission may be in store for this Delorean. I like seeing the early VIN Deloreans and the slight differences from them and the later cars.:rock_on:

Nice to see another 1200, but I sure do wish I knew where 1259 and 1257 were. I think it'd just be really cool to know.

Anyone pm the seller yet? I did. I told him that I wasn't aware Dodge made the DeLorean!

Update from the ad:

On Dec-14-12 at 20:02:39 PST, seller added the following information:

I APOLOGIZE. THE DELOREAN WASN'T MADE BY DODGE. IT IS SIMPLY A TYPO. THIS IS AN ORIGINAL DELOREAN.

Looks like he has the gray stripe option. Didn't realize they were as wide as they were, I thought they were more pinstripe size. Radio is aftermarket, and there's a red light right in front of the clock. I see a button on his driver's side dummy switch as well. Anti-theft device? I'm thinking the red light illuminates when the button is pressed, but I'm not sure why you would need a button for an anti-theft device. :hmm:

I live about 25 minutes or so from the area where this car is listed for sale. I am amazed at how many Deloreans have turned up for sale in Louisiana over the last few years.

Btw, was the 170 mph speedo a common upgrade? I've seen 140 at the most from DMC Ca...Can't say that I've ever seen one, but it does look pretty close to the OEM gauge in terms of design and styling. Either someone made a batch of these (foreign gauge?) or it's the best one-off speedo mod I have seen thus far.

My car has a 160 MPH speedometer. Was on it at purchase, and it looks very stocklike.

DeLorean One sold them back in the day, and DMCH used them on refurbished cars for a short period. DMCCA sold the 160 MPH version.

The seller sent me some pics of the frame and it was in decent shape.

Someone got a good deal for the $12k
