View Full Version : General NOS/improved specification gone?

Has anyone noticed that DMCH no longer lists parts as "NOS" or "improved" in the store? Not that it really makes much of a difference I suppose, but I've always been interested to know which parts I buy are original just for curiosity's sake. The idea of buying something that is 30 odd years old and still brand new has always been a cool thing to know. I know that the NOS vs. improved inventory has been discussed in the price discussion thread and the timing seems likely that it may be related, but I can't figure out why it would have been removed. Could just be a coincidence, though. Anyone know why it's no longer specified? Just curious.

It looks like if you click on the item you're looking at, then it'll take you to a different page where it lets you know if it's NOS, Improved, or Take Off part.

If you are interested in NOS or need to know exactly what you are buying you can always contact DMCH and inquire before buying. I would not trust the description in the "store" 100%, I do not know how up to date that info is.

You are correct, it's there! I guess in my browsing I didn't click far enough "in" on a single part to see that it's still on the individual part pages. Like I said, wouldn't have been the end of the world if it was no longer listed, but at least now my curiosity will still be satisfied!

Actually it would be - there are cases where we specifically want to know if they are selling a 30 year old part or whether we source elsewhere for a new/improved component.
Looks like there have been a few other improvements to their website - the image enlargements now work under Safari yay!
