These are the puppies that secure the bolt through the top of the rock screen, trough the bottom part of the bumper and are riveted to the fibreglass body.

Mine are all rusted out and the a royal pain to deal with. I checked on DMC's site and if I am correct, are charging over 20 bucks a pop for each bracket.

Here they list it as part #35. But I think this along with a number of other parts are currently mislabeled. At any rate it's listed in the menu as #36 at $20.78.

Anyone have an alternative to spending $100 on these stupid brackets? I was thinking about welding a new nut on and just reusing them.

Weld a new nut on and reuse them. Otherwise just get some a steel plate, cut, bend in a vise, then weld a nut on. Unless you're going for 100 point concurs then spending 100 bucks on new brackets is insane.

Lowes or Home Depot or even Ace. Lots of galvanized or brass brackets to choose from. I ditched most if not all of the welded nuts and went with new stainless nuts, bolts and washers to hold the rock screen. Can take photos of what I've done if anyone gives a hoot.
