Does anyone still sell the stainless steel engine cover vent brackets? I have a set of stainless vents on the way and would like to replace my aging brackets. Thanks in advance!

Edward Uding sold through his and was not intending on reproducing more do to low volume a while back. Same story here. For how bad most look on cars you would think it would be a seller.

Same with Grady a few years back. He had them first, then Ed U, now nobody apparently. I have a set, they don't look like anything special. I think I bought them from Dave Swingle a couple years ago. Not sure what's so hard about making them, but if they don't sell, then don't expect vendors to offer them anytime soon.

They are not Brackets. They are the U shaped Metal Retaining Strips/Clips that hold the grills in place.

True. When Grady sold them they were labeled as brackets though.

Some good old fashioned elbow grease and painting brings these right back.

We made ten sets about three years ago through SW because I had been warned by multiple vendors that the item was not a big seller. Sold the last set about a year ago now. They look very tacky in mill stainless as the last few sets were powder coated black and used in shop.

If there is enough interest I would do another run. I would need a 15 kit minimum to make it happen.

I managed to get my hands on PJGrady's last set of black stainless ones today! It makes a good end to 2012. :)

Just out of curiosity, what stainless steel vents are you using? Are they reproductions of the originals just in stainless or are they different? I've been considering replacing mine too and am interested in seeing the different options :D

I ordered the stainless vents/screens with the DMC cutout logo that Bandit from the UK forum sells. For the brackets, I am using Grady's black stainless ones.

Here is a comparison of my before and after of the original and JustBandit's vents...
