Hervey's bleeder - straight connector location

I have Hervey's coolant bleeder and I can't seem to figure out where the straight brass connector goes. I have the T connector in place, does the straight connector go in the water pump at the top?

If you're referring to the brass piece that has a hose barb on one end and is threaded on the other, then yes that will replace the bleeder screw on your thermostat housing. You will attach the hose from the open end of the tee here. See below:

Yep that's it thanks Mike. Just seems like the threads aren't 100% so I didn't want to chance it without confirming. Thanks man.

No problem. It will not thread in 100%, in fact if you try to do that there is a chance you will damage the threads in the housing and possibly crack it due to overtightening. The barb isn't accomplishing the same task as the bleeder screw, in that it's not screwing in completely in order to close off a "valve." The barb is passing coolant all the time with the bleeder kit, so the goal is to thread in tightly and form a good seal (make sure you use teflon tape here) to avoid any leaks. The barb is flared a bit to help with this, so that's why you get it in a few threads and it tightens up. Screwing it in just a bit past the point of resistance with a good wrap of teflon tape on it should do the trick. Obviously make sure you do a thorough leak check once you start it up.
