Im in the process of replacing my old sender with a new DMCH unit. The connector on the new one is the same as that on the OE; however I do not have a male connector on the harness for the car... just the leads. I also found that: the colored wires on the new unit are different than that on the harness. I feel like I have tried every combination with no luck getting the gauge to read correctly. Either it's at Empty or 12 o'clock with no "low fuel" illumination. The colors for the new wires are: yellow/green, brown, and blue. Is there anyone who has dealt with this before?

You may have a TankZilla which had a replacement sender. I will be in the same boat if I end up getting the new pump.

The connector itself is easy to get from DMCMW - I had Dave send me a take-off part.
I believe the same connectors are also used in other parts of the electrical system, as Dave's one had different wire colors. You just have to match it to the correct wires - sounds like a non-stock system as the original wires for the sender are green, green/brown and black.
Turn the sending unit upside down and measure the resistance between the three wires. One will read high (infinate) when going to the other two wires -- it is for the light (Light Green/Orange). Turn the unit upright and connect one lead to the wire for the light. Measure the resistance between it and the other two wires. The one with the least resistance (near zero) connects to the ground wire (Black). The remaining wire goes to the gauge (Green/Black).
You can double check by measuring between the two that are not for the light. They should read high when the unit is upright and low when upside down (near zero), and something in between if you make the float slide ~part way....
