While overhauling 2510s speedo system I opened to lambda counter on the bench to clean out the old grease and replace it with fresh.

I was amazed to find it like new inside. Not a spot of grease. If there ever was, it's gone now. Aren't these suppose to be well greased? At any rate I added some good white lithium grease to the mechanicals spinning at high rates off the main drive axle.

Let me know if you still need some grease, Dave. I had lots of extra when I opened mine up :)

I took the guts out and never reinstalled them yet. Not sure if I'll do that or not at some point. I've battled getting the angle drive and lower cable to spin freely most of the time so I wasn't too concerned with the lambda counter service light going off.

Haha I remember that! In fact, THAT'S what I expected to find!
