I pulled these from a Scrap Yard in England when I was last there. Was going to use them for an Interior Light Mod but it never panned out. These are a *bit* larger then our stock units, but with a little modification to the Headliner or to the unit themselves, they could be great. They use normal bulbs like the Binnacle, not festoons. Just a more "Beefier" unit.

I had planned to cut holes out around the Seat Belt area to help Illuminate the partial shelf. Just never had the time or patience...

There are 3 UK style units available, and I have an Old Used DeLorean unit available as well.

Asking $25 a piece for the UK units, and $15 for the Old DeLorean unit. (Its a Bit Chewed up but still useable)

Just as reference, Houston wants 74.95 for 1 New Unit. Yikes!

Those are Citroen lights (eg boot lid light in a BX). The festoon types (incl original DeLorean) are from Renault.

At one point D1 were selling the Citroen units.

Ryan,

How much work would be required to make one of the UK ones fit into the rear interior dome light spot on our cars? Did you mean a bit of the electrical would need some work to make them fit? Or the physical size only?

My rear light has never worked, but I'd rather not cut anything up to install a replacement. Let me know what you think.

As soon as I get home from my vacation, I will go test one on my car for you.

I replaced mine with this unit from Hella. I am sure it fits in the front, but not sure about the back.

Both front and rear housings are the same size...

In theory, yes, but I've read some complaints that the rear is a tighter fit.

Those are very pricey! I'll test fit mine tonight.

Yeah, I don't get it ... mine was a lot cheaper not long ago. I got a few of them to save on shipping for some other local owners. Looks like we saved a lot more than I initially thought...

Mine was just the reverse. Back hole was larger but that may have been done by another PO. I glued my back one in.

I went out and did a little retro fitting. I was able to get the back one in with a little bit of finagling. I had to get it just right, but it eventually went in. Bulb came on and everything.

Sale pending on at least 1 UK unit. So that leaves two others left, plus the still working stock one.
