Three of our favorite sub-genre’s of DeLoreans are represented in this awesome vid that I stumbled across at the weekend – painted cars, wrecked cars and BTTF cars.

This would appear to be 1909, the red car that caught fire on a transporter after having been sold at Carmax in California, based on the burn mark pattern and the huge dent in the LFF.

After a few stalled sales, it seems to have ended up in France where the frame & drivetrain has been used to replace that in a BTTF car. As the frame in the replica looks OK from the video, I first thought that it was an auto/manual transmission swap. But looking at it again, it looks like there was already 3 pedals in the BTTF car.

Perhaps one of our French colleagues can elaborate?

Who owns the BTTF car? What will they do with the old frame/transmission?

You nailed it with the "Circle of Life" reference. Glad to see it didn't end up in the crusher.
