Need manual transmission ideas

I am trying to rebuild my manual trans. as it was rough shifting into 3rd. I am having trouble locating some of the parts and the tools required for reassembly.

The parts that are unavailable are:
103061 sync spring
103060 sldg gear 3rd,4th
103059 lock ring syn-mesh
103176 lock ring
103101 lock nut

The tools are: J28866; J33400 and J23907 - does anyone know any aftermarket tools or tools used on modern cars that will emulate these tools function? I do not believe there is much of a chance finding the original tools.

Also, does anyone know about this trans. - is it original to DeLorean? and who makes it?

The trans is a Renault 369, an early variant of the UN-1. It had other uses (a mail truck, for one) but not many in the US that I know of.

DPNW had the lock nuts available when I did mine. And the special tools really aren't required - they just make some jobs easier and faster for shop rate purposes, but you can do it all with a standard (well-stocked) array of tools.

You might want to try Chris Cole in the UK for the Renault 369/UN-1 parts that are difficult to get or GTO racing http://www.gtoracing.co.uk/ .

GT40 Replica cars very often use our transmission.

Tornado Sports Cars carries a lot of stuff for the Renault UN1 transmission series (and they're located in the US). They may be of assistance. Also I agree; I dont believe the special tools are required, just kind of nice.
